Accessibility
The Lac La Biche Museum does not have marked parking stalls. However, there is a section near the
ramp which is marked for handicapped use. There is room for approximately three vehicles in this section.
The parking lot is partially paved and is on a gradient, sloping north. The Lac La Biche Museum is on one
level. We offer accessible washrooms, with one large stall in each washroom. We do not offer single person or
gender neutral washrooms at this time.
Service dogs are permitted in the museum provided that they wear an identifying vest and the owner
carries an identification card. Pets are not permitted in the museum.
The Lac La Biche Museum does not offer wheelchairs or strollers.
Light and Noise
The Lac La Biche Museum has several exhibits in which videos or sounds are playing. The museum is also
well-lighted.
It may be possible to book an appointment to be alone in the museum. During this appointment, audio
can be turned off and the lights dimmed.
Please call or email the museum if you would like to book a quiet visit.
Archives
A pre-booked appointment is required to visit the Archives. The Archives may unfortunately not be an accessible space for those with mobility impairments.
However, members of staff are willing to bring archival materials upstairs to spaces which are more
accessible.
Subject to staff availability, the museum may be able to provide transcribed archival materials for
researchers with visual impairments.
