Jennifer Mueller

Jennifer Mueller has been Lac La Biche Museum’s Manager/Director since June 2018. With twelve years of experience in heritage interpretation and management, and utilizing degrees in psychology and biology, she shares her love of nature and history through the programs, exhibits, and other content she creates for the museum. She is the proud recipient of Interpretation Canada’s 2023 Awards of Excellence for the Reminiscence Kit program she developed for seniors living in Lac La Biche County.

Artemii Plekhanov

Tourism & Social Media Coordinator

Artemii Plekhanov combines a strong academic foundation with practical experience in cultural institutions. Holding a PhD in History and Cultural Anthropology from the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Artemii has conducted extensive research in digital humanities, comics studies, and memory studies.

As Tourism & Social Media Coordinator Artemii is committed to making museum content accessible and engaging, fostering connections between historical narratives and diverse audiences. His previous roles include contributing to exhibitions and events at the Esker Foundation Contemporary Art Gallery and conducting research at the University of Padua.

Tara Jacklin

Museum Curator

Throughout Tara Jacklin’s academic career in classics, Tara was involved in the museum world thanks to Young Canada Works grants and internships. Their first curating project was a 2018 summer exhibit at Point Ellice House, a 19th-century house museum in Victoria BC. Having fallen in love with the museum world, Tara has continued to expand their exhibit experience while complementing it with public programming. 
 
They graduated from Western University with an MA in Public History. Tara is passionate about making museums interactive and engaging so visitors of all ages can learn. Tara loves bringing their hobbies to work, frequently combining natural history and digital humanities into their exhibits and programming.
